Steve Shelton, Office Manager

In his role with Shelton&Power, Steve has brought with him a common business sense and a degree of strength to the overall operation of the Shelton&Power firm. Steve's role as Office Manager and his position in the Marketing and Legal Compliance program has benefited our clients in the firm in innumerable ways. Through the Marketing and Legal Compliance program, Steve works with franchisors and their leads to nurture and develop those leads into willing and happy franchisees, which in turn promotes and helps the franchisor prosper in their industry. Steve's overall philosophy is quality over quantity, and Steve never sacrifices his ethics or his character to make a deal.

Steve has various degrees in business management and holds certifications in (SPHR) Senior Professional in Human Resources and in Forensics.

Steve's background has taken him around the world in various fields from Business Consulting and Business Development services, the Health Care industry where he ran a healthcare company that processed medical and dental insurance claims, to running a service department in a major automobile dealership, even to overseeing operations in a production gold mine.  Prospering in the entrepreneurial realm of MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) sales and direct marketing concepts, Steve has traveled the US giving motivational talks to both large and small groups and companies on topics ranging from business expansion to water filtration.

While working with the United Nations Development Program, Steve oversaw multiple projects involving various nations in which they were supplied technically advanced equipment. In this position, Steve was responsible for ensuring that the receiving country was utilizing all supplied equipment as stated in the contract. Steve has worked in the semiconductor industry with wafter steppers and mask makers that produced the electronic chips that have made the semiconductor industry what it is today. Steve has also taken much pride in his business consulting ability to work with multiple types of companies to turn them from near bankruptcy situations back into to solid opearting companies. Steve has spent several years working as a paralegal, so he actually understands the law and has written several hundred if not more contracts over time for the various attorneys he has worked with.

Steve's first experience with sales and marketing was established and fortified during his employment with the US Army recruiting command. In this position, Steve was in charge of advertising programs at a national level where he negotiated contracts for various major issues. Steve was exposed to various sales and marketing techniques from some of the largest marketing groups in the United States.

Although Steve appears to have a substantial amount of military and technical background, he prides himself on staying true to nature and his sense of humor. Steve's involvement with MENSA (Mensa is the largest, oldest, and most famous high IQ society in the world) has taught him the value of keeping a "down to earth" attitude in all his business ventures and has given him the ability to work with people on a personal and individual level to foster a productive environment. Steve takes pride in what he does and addresses each case as though his existence was at stake. Steve helps companies, individuals and entrepreneurs rekindle their old-fashioned desire and heart to get things done the way they should be. Steve's parents raised him in a time when handshakes would suffice, but he lives in a time where contracts are not only requested but are even mandatory.

Steve is the proud father of an engaged young man, who is 22 years old and he is the husband of Lynne Shelton. Steve and Lynne have been married since 1989. They renewed their vows for their 20th anniversary in Honduras on a beach at sunset on the island of Roatan.  Steve loves to ride his Harley motorcyle especially when riding with his Christian Motorcyle Ministry group (www.HandlebarsforHeaven.org).  He also loves to travel and scuba dive and prefers to combine those with his life long passion of photography.
