 Who We Are
Ms. Shelton has been counseling Franchise / Business Opp. clients since 1993. She especially enjoys working with small business owners to assist them in " Expanding their Brand". Since starting the Law Firm, she has been focused on providing affordable legal services to small businesses, updating clients to new FTC laws and State Regulations&working to limit liability within their Manuals. She focuses on ensuring clients are offered individualized service, from a firm whose sole area of practice is Franchise Law, not like a large downtown law firm where maybe 1 of 100 Attorneys present in the highrise dabble in Franchise. Ms. Shelton has published several articles, some of which are posted on the Articles tab. She has been married for 20 yrs and has one son. While at Barry, Jason led the chapter of an international law fraternity, competed in appellate advocacy competitions, and was honored by being published in the school’s law review. The Supreme Court of Florida issued his certification as a County Court Mediator. After Law School, Mr. Power worked as a general Civil Litigation / Family law Attorney in the Brandon, Florida area before venturing out with Mrs. Shelton to start Shelton&Power, LLC. Prior to attending law school, Jason worked for 6 years as an assistant in both pre-suit and litigation matters for a Personal Injury law firm. Mr. Power holds a Political Science degree from the University of South Florida. Mr. Power prides himself on representing clients to the best of his abilities, while maintaining morals and ethics.
